Yeah, that title was anticlimactic…
Anyway, my birthday is on the 28th and I have been wanting a new haircut for a while. I’m not someone who is willing to spend a good part of an hour (or more) on her hair, so curling, flatironing, and hairspraying are all things I will never do and have never (under normal circumstances) done. This makes having longish, thick, wavy-almost-curly hair a bit of a hassle. My mom and I had been talking about getting a new haircut for me, like thinning it or getting layers, something to tame the mane, if you’re picking up what I’m throwing down, for a while now. I’m also going to camp (for the first time) in a couple weeks so we had a deadline because I do not want to worry about my hair while I’m up there. The problem with my hair, is that simply cutting it short makes it balloon out and my head resembles a fuzzy mushroom. *shudder* But, I loved having short hair. The problem was getting my hair to cooperate with my dreams. Today, that happened. It was more expensive than I expected, but my parents like how it turned out too, so we certainly got our money’s worth.
I’m guessing that you want to see a picture, right? Fine, if I have to show off the miracle of not-hopeless hair. 🙂
Here’s the before… I was actually having a good hair day, surprisingly.
And then the after!!! 😀
It’s a little wild right now, but I love it!!! It’s so light, but manageable! Wheeee! And it’s tomboyish but still feminine; everything I wanted. I’m so happy! Here’s to a new me, even before I’m 16! (Ooh, that rhymes)
